Helping Children Find Their Voice

Every child develops at their own pace, but when speech or language challenges arise, early intervention can make a significant difference. At Bloom Myofunctional & Speech Therapy, we provide individualized pediatric speech therapy that meets your child where they are and helps them build the communication skills they need to thrive.

Laura Friedman uses a combination of evidence-based approaches — including PROMPT therapy, DTTC, and the Nancy Kaufman Apraxia System — tailored to each child's unique strengths and challenges. Sessions are play-based, engaging, and designed to feel natural for your child.

18 months

At least 20 words, follows simple directions, points to body parts when asked

2 years

50+ words, combines two words (more milk, daddy go), understood ~50% by strangers

3 years

3–4 word sentences, asks questions, understood ~75% by strangers

4 years

Tells simple stories, uses 4–5 word sentences, understood ~90% by strangers

Our Approach to Pediatric Therapy

We believe therapy should be engaging and meaningful for your child. Each treatment plan is built around your child's interests, learning style, and specific goals. Parents are active participants — we equip you with strategies and activities to reinforce progress at home, because research shows that consistent practice between sessions leads to faster improvement.
